When Napoleon, and ****** later, invaded Russia they contended with Russia's two favorite Generals - General Winter and General Spring. The mud across Russia, particularly in the Spring, is incredible. I wonder how some of those tanker trucks would handle that water crossing when empty.

I'm just amazed they don't get swept away in that strong current. I suppose they are heavily loaded down, but they still have to make the return trip AND on one shot I think there was a personnel transport (large empty windowed structure) which can't weigh much. So it has to be all about the vehicle weight and capability.

I got a kick out of one scene where the log truck almost got truck. It appears that a passenger got out of the truck and tried to hang off the front bumper to influence the weight of thousands of lbs of logs pulling down the back end?!?!

I presume the drivers are female; also those are not logs, they are what rockets look like to a spy satellite.

I think the male passenger exiting the cab for the front bumper was just escaping.
