I have a 2007 LR3 SE that slightly grazed a wall. The parking sensor and black plastic bezel on the left front bumper were scrapped and needs to be replaced.

Two questions:

1) is it easy to access to change out the parts

2) is it plug-and-play where it will automatically be recognized and start working, or does the dealer need to reset

Thanks in advance!

Looks like the sensors must not have performed as intended!

Coincidentally, I am having 3 replaced due to being rear-ended last week. I'll ask the body shop when dropping off.

This should be an easy fix. Why not ask a LR service tech next time you are at the dealership?

Because the dealership quoated $1,800 to fix it. My wife slid on the ice and scuffed across the park sensor and fog light trim ring in our driveway.

The bumper's not to bad, you can hardly notice the scuff in the black plastic. So I thought I could probably swap the sensor, senor trim and fog light trim myself. They said the majority of the cost is the bumber because it is one piece all the way across and painted in the center.

I don't trust this dealer and may just take it to another.

Thanks for the help!

If you ever need to replace the front bumper, check E-Bay. I've seen them frequently and very reasonably priced.
