Passenger Side Wheel Vibrates at Full Turn

i have a 2005 LR3 and the right wheel starts to vibrate heavily when you back up the vehicle (from a parking spot) and turn the steering wheel all the way to the right. otherwise there is no visible problem with the steering or the wheels. also, i just noticed that the carpet on the front passenger floor is soaking wet. just had a car wash but the floor should not be getting wet from that right? a bad day for me, as you can tell! help anyone!

Carpet wet: common problem, your sunroof drain tubes are clogged. Dealer has a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) on the issue and they can solve it quickly.

Noise: What tires are you running, could your tire be rubbing inside your wheel well or on the upper A-arm knuckle? Is the noise/sensation worse in Access mode? Does it go away in Off Road height?

If it's prevalent, it could be more serious and I would CALL into your dealer, describe it, and then if they recommend flat bed towing it into the shop, DO IT.

Agree with nwoods here, get the TSB done on the tubes ASAP. That's a nasty issue, wet carpet is no fun. I would also call my dealer to get the LR3 in to check the tire issue, it may very well be that your tire is rubbing against the wheel well, which I've seen happen on a few vehicles, or may be something else the dealer needs to look at.

The 05 had outriggers right behind the front wheels (I think they were stand offs for the body support). I had a transport company use them to tie the truck to a trailer and they bent both of them pretty severely. With small changes in wheel position I would get serious vibration and a lot of noise from the wheel rub. Any chance you've done something to pull one of the outriggers a bit forward (it doesn't take much)? If you did, you have to replace them (mine cost $120 for the pair and took about 20 minutes to replace), you cant nudge them back into place (I tried and it was a real fiasco).

had similar issues. just got my drain tubes fixed, they were kinked and clogged. the vibration may actually just be your steering stops. i get mine lubed at every service. this cured the small vibration i had and the horrific sound made when fully turning the wheel.

thanks for the posts everyone, i appreciate the feedback. i've taken it to land rover to drain the sunroof tubes, i figured it was that from the other postings i read on here.

as for the wheel noise, Landy Man hit the nail on the head! i had my LR3 towed last week on the New York State Thruway because the e-brake totally failed and burned out the rear rotors. they towed my LR3 back to Boston on a flatbed towing truck, a 7-hour ride. the outriggers could very well be the problem, so thanks for the heads up! i'll post a follow up.
