Ok cool. Thank you dude. When I pull the trigger I am sure I will have some questions.

Cheers,

I combined a Quadlock wireless charger with a RAM mount suction cup mount. Easy enough. Can send parts list if interested.

I’m using the pop socket combo plus I snaked my cable under the dash into the top glovebox.

Pretty clean and secure setup - I’d love to have a powered mount like this so all I have to do is slot the phone in and it’s good...I hate cable plugging/unplugging.

I literally have never used the in dash nav. Ever. I bought this truck used in 2016, and even then my iPhone was better for all nav / infotainment etc. hence I never aligned the maps.

Will take a look tomorrow and see what’s what and change it.

By the way is there any way to have the back up camera on and engaged on the screen full time without backing up? I would rather have that than the nav any day.

Apple CarPlay has to be in my next vehicle, it makes everything so much better and your phone doesn't even need a mount, though I have been looking at this polaris ranger phone mount option for situations where CarPlay isn't available, it can be plugged in and set down.

For the LR4 vent specifically look at Brodit. They make vehicle specific mounts that attach to existing points rather than relying on vent clips which is why standard mounts always eventually fail on Land Rovers. Very popular in the LR community for exactly this reason. If you want to stick with a vent mount RAM Mounts with a locking vent clip rather than a standard spring clip holds significantly better on LR vents than anything cheaper.
