Can someone please tell me what type of fluid to use in the power steering pump on the 2001 Disco Series II? I am pretty sure it is ATF, I just want to confirm.

Yes, ATF is the correct fluid.

Actually it is a synthetic ATF, LRNA #LRN2261, by the book. Use plain old ATF at your peril.

At your Peril.... hmmm well after 30k my plain old ATF and Lucas Tranny fix with out issue.
