Well I definitely did some damage, my local mechanic tells me several cylinder have little or no compression. Local junkyard has a used engine 96 102k for 1200 bucks. Dont know if this car is worth it. Are there any other options folks. My kids are heartbroken, that was the best beach car we ever had.

$1200 for a 102k rover engine good lord... he is trying to **** you.

You can buy a used Disco for $1500, I have seen several that have gone for this price or less on ebay.
