Update:
No change. I did some testing today.
Steering issue is the same in access mode.
An interesting finding, the steering issue is the same in the various TC modes, ie, sand, snow, mud, gravel, etc...
Even more interesting and I have to test it again in the morning, it doesn’t seem to have the steering issue from a cold start while all the components are still cold. I tested the theory after letting the truck sit for a bit and didn’t get the same results as I did first thing in the AM so I’m not 100% there.
I did notice a “tire like” slapping noise from the left front tire, more noticeable during acceleration vs. straight and steady, so I’m convinced there might be something up in the front left wheel.
I’ve also played with the amount of acceleration and I have to say, I feel the pulling even with slight acceleration. So much I have changed my driving habit such when I pull out in front of an on-coming car, I allow more distance before pulling out, especially, when taking a left/right turn when pulling out. Much more causation. Not like I was careless before but I need to allow much more distance.
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

Think your issue is something dumb like one brake caliper sticking?

Just brainstorming at this point. The caliper idea is a good thought. Is it possible that a suspension bushing is shot, but wasn’t noticed during alignment?

I’ve installed two ARBs in other vehicles.I struggle to think why installation of one of them would cause an issue like this, since the “failure mode” of them is just to be an open differential. But if the vehicle previously had a stock locking dif, with its feedback mechanism to the traction control, I could see the computer struggling to make sense of the lack of feedback from a circuit that should be there.

No good ideas here, just ideas. Good luck!

Any idea is a good idea. Thank you all. I plan on taking the truck to my independent auto shop to run all these ideas by them.

Talking about throwing ideas out, good or bad, I was thinking of the type of oil viscosity. The shop I use was telling me that he recommends I come back to have the engine oil and diff oil changed after 1,000 miles. Just throwing ideas out, right.

When it starts jerking, if you take your foot off the accelerator, does it stop jerking?

Yes. With slight acceleration but with continued torque, for example going up a slight incline and if I play with the throttle, the issue is consistent. I can feel it in the steering wheel, like micro braking, slight jerking left/right. The more throttle, the more noticeable it is (more severe). Once I let up on the throttle the steering issue goes away.

Not sure if you guys sorted your issue, but on my LR4 MY10, had that issue earlier - stock rims and old tires (back in 2019). It was pretty noticeable even if very little acceleration, in my case it was pulling to the left. I had bushings replaced with heavy duty ones from RR - didn't help.
What helped was... replacing rims and tires at the same time. The LR specialist I've switched to gave it a good go with other rims and tires and as it was around the time I was ordering anyway new rims (Compomotive R18 + Cooper Discoverer AT3) - it was good timing.
I've kept an eye on it and whilst it doesn't happen anymore at low speeds for me (and it was super visible earlier, i.e. starting from the stop). When on going like 40-80mph and accelerating rapidly I can feel a bit of car going more to the left - but nothing felt on steering wheel.

Not sure if it helps - but gives some ideas - in short in my case rims and tires were changed (earlier bushings - but that didn't change anything).

Thank you all for following up. I finally had the ARB Locker removed and my old rear diff put back in, after many months troubleshooting this is the only thing that worked. My LR4 is back to normal! I’m not messing with trying to figure it out. It has to do with the teeth count on the locker that wasn’t considered during the install.

Just put this on another forum but did anyone figure out why it was doing this, My diffs are stock. Again issue is hard right on acceleration, and the steering wheel gets light under acceleration at speed and wants to sway left to right. Anyone resolve this?
