1) does anyone know if you can get nav traffic (xm traffic) on the 2010 or 2011?

2) does anyone know of anyone that can program the LR4 to always ride at the lowered setting? want to put 22s under it and want it to ride lower.

thanks for the help.

Hi,

I just activated the built in Sirius radio in my LR4, but we don't have a problem with traffic here in Nebraska so I can't really tell you if the traffic notifications will work on the LR4.

As far as the suspension goes, you can lock the system in crawl mode which is access height. There are a couple of problems though: one the ride will be horrible and the second is, once you exceed 25mph the system will raise to standard height.

I know the guys on the LR3 forum talk about a "Rod Mod" suspension lift. They replace all 4 of the rods that connect to the height sensors with shorter rods fooling the computer to lift the truck. I would guess that a similar arrangement could be done in reverse with longer rods that would keep the truck lower than normal. I'm not sure I would advise it, but in theory it should work.

Good luck with the 22s and lowering.

Rob

I can tell you that after using XM traffic for over 5 years, it is very very misleading and inaccurate. I live in chicago, but have found same results in Detroit. I can tell you that the most accurate traffic tracker is the MAPS app on the iphone. Over the past year, both me and the wife have cancelled our traffic, and just use the iphone MAP app...it is usually very accurate.

And free ... once you pay for the iPhone, ATT service and Data plan! ... But I agree. I have this function in my 2010 BMW 750Li and it is really no more accurate than the app on the iPhone. The only benefit of having it integrated into the NAV is that it will attempt to route you around accidents and traffic. Can be handy here in Los Angeles area. But, the free google maps app also is handy as well. I use it when I'm the passenger to help route around traffic here in So Cal.
