The large hose that runs over the top of the fan and it appears into the radiator is bubbling fluid out if it where it appears some sort of plug was. I found the plug sitting on the fan cover next to where it goes into the hose. Any info on what could have caused this and what it takes to fix it as well as the seriousness of it is appreciated. The "plug" sits dead center of the hose which runs at the front of the engine compartment and as stated over the fan.

Thanks,

Time to change the hoses, and please for the sake of your rover, do not drive it until you change the hoses. While your in there, you might as well change the thermostat and the s-belt.

I hope you don't mean the dealership... they will charge you a fortune to do this work.

No dealership. There is a great shop here locally that deals with nothing but Rovers. They are the reason I bought one, knowing they are here to work on it. Super honest and very reasonable. For $80, they spent the better part of 3 hours going over it before I purchased it. If anyone is in or around Houston, I highly recommend them.
