Hey! I have a 1997 Discovery I and I wanted to upgrade the radio. I've been looking on ebay and other sites and I think a radio from a Discovery II would fit in the slot. But I'm wondering if it will work, I also have a CD changer under the passenger seat. Will everything fit and work ok if I put in a Discovery II radio? Thanks.

That is a good question, but sadly I don't know anyone that has tried. I am pretty sure they are two different radio's, which will mean two different connections at the rear.

I am sure it can be done, just how much fun will it be is the question.

why would you waste time installing a disco II radio in a disco I

sounds like WAY to much money and effort.

Install an aftermarket head unit. and it will allow for better sound quality, features (iPod, nav, etc etc)
