rear jump seats

Hi all - 2001 SE7. One of the rear jump seats, when unlatched from the side and latched in its normal position on the floor - the seat back will NOT fold back up. Is this a typical problem with these, and is there some adjustment I can make or anything? The rest of it works OK - unlatching and folding up or down, just can't get the backrest up.

Mine does that from time to time. At worst, I have to fold it back up and try it again... usually works then

Yeah... it used to respond to that, but it seems like its past that now. The seat folding lever is locked tight, can't push it or pull it either way to release the seat.

Ever get this problem fixed? I bought my 2000 disco yesterday and can't get either of the seats to unfold after I've latched them securely.
