2005 land rover lr3 4.4 V8

I was wondering if anybody knew where to find the proper retaining clip for an engine coolant temperature sensor. I am currently using the old one for the sensor. The clip doesn't seem to fit very snug when pushed back onto new sensor. With my luck it will fall out while driving in zero degree weather.

Thank you

Attached is that section of the manual. It looks like the sensor screws in. Are you talking about the harness plug?

No, it's not a screw in sensor. It is a metal clip that fastens the coolant temperature sensor to the housing. I have called everywhere to locate it the simple clip, yet nobody carries it. The clip comes with the new housing that costs $100.00 plus. I could buy a Ford clip to see if it fits. I don't really feel like ripping stuff apart in 10 degree weather to find that it won't secure properly.

Sincerely

Uhgg....

So the part number is for a Ford. Thank you for the help. You would think that they would include Land Rover in the fittment. The guys at parts geek told me to look in a salvage yard.
