I have a 95 discovery with 170000 miles I just bought about a month ago and today the reverse started to not engage a few times. This morning it took a few mins for it to finally get it into gear and later when I tried to back into a space it didn't engaged at all. A few hrs later it worked when I ran into a gas station but a few mins later it wouldn't engage trying to back up until I got out and started to push it. So I heard I might need to get the transmission flushed or that it might be the linkage. Is this something that I need to take to a dealership or can a transmission shop work better and I believe there is a shop that works on euro cars including landrovers.
