That dealer price is crazy. Try a body shop instead. I had the left/front replaced for under $100 (hit a deer and broke it, along with one headlight).

Edit: Just checked the invoice from the repair. Part was $41.78 and 0.4 hours of labor to install. This was in 2006.

Anybody know how to get wax off of them? I have big white marks from my last buff and polish.

+ back to black. But doesn't seem to make them go away.

Called body shops, either don't offer or too much... Still having trouble finding the part any other suggestions?

Déjà vu: http://www.landroverworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=4711&highlight=painted

Forgot about this thread above from 3 years ago. Same topic, similar responses back then.

Now that LR offers painted replacement wheel trim molding in the accessory catalog, somewhere there must be someone selling a used one. Otherwise, you may just have to buy a replacement or live with it.

One other approach - insurance? If it was damaged by another car in a parking lot, maybe that is an option, depending in your deductable.
