all my tools are in a different state so I let the shop handle this one. Ended up being a bad idler pulley bearing. Probably the best case scenario. Thank you to all for the help.

If it helps my LR4 is at 158k and I’ve never had and idler pulley issue. Don’t think these are too common.

Mine was starting to squeal I replaced it, along with the belt.

There was a tsb on the idler pulley. can’t remember which models.
I had my go out in 2024, the one that faces the opposite direction to the other pulleys, it took out the serpentine belt and a whole bunch of other things, for me the morale of the story is to check these bearings every 40 to 50K miles. I renewed all idlers when repairing the belts.
