Last summer, in the Tillamook State Forest - ended up at Triangulation Point, ran into some guys that rode their ATVs there. They did not expect a mom-mall-mobile to show up, let alone clown car style with a stream of children getting out (6 of us). Thoroughly impressed with the Disco 4's abilities, though less impressed (in hindisight) in my prep work.

Looking to get better equipped for traveling where there's no cell signal. Timing chains and brakes were done when we bought in 2017 at 75k, and we had the diff/transfer case oil changed, front suspension bushings, new tires (Nokian WRG3), alignment done upon purchase. It's been flawless since (now approaching 100k miles), and it's in the shop for new crossover pipes and water pump, so that's not hanging over my head. Plan on getting a bit more experience and then going on some trips with my wife, likely bits of the backcountry discovery routes in OR and WA. See where we go from there.

Welcome. If you want to go deep off the beaten path and into the wilderness, the #1 thing you can do is good tires. Generally, that requires finding a solution for 18" wheels, of which there are now several.

Yes, 18" are towards the top of my list, likely with KO2's. Likely order of upgrades will be the XLifter (so my wife and I can sleep in it for little weekend getaways), IID tool, then 18" wheels/tires. The 19" would then be dedicated studless ice/snow tires.

This is my 2011 LR4 HSE in Apple River IL. 100% stock. 185k miles and counting. Cover up the mileage and one would guess it had 50k on it. Never have done the timing chain guides, air compressor or shocks as all function perfectly with no suspect noises. Bought at 62k miles in 2016 and have spent $10k on standard maintenance which includes 3 sets of tires and brakes, water pump, alternator, two batteries, trans line leak, spark plugs and oil every 7500 miles. Love this vehicle and shooting for 250k.

Recognized the spot as soon as I saw the picture. I've been up in the Brown's Camp area frequently. Welcome!

Meet my new-to-me 2016. Mostly stock so far, just added the rack/ladder and the Falkens.

Just got back from a 2.5K mile loop through utah and arizona to get to know each other.
