I'm between waiting (forever) for a ProSpeed rack or going with the awesome utility (and instant availability) of a Rhino. I will from time to time want to mount a Thule Force XT cargo box as well but it sounds like you've had some challenges...if you could do it again would you stick with the ProSpeed or try something else?

Just doing a little creek bed crawl test. Awaiting new Ridge Grapplers but they’ve been hung up some where.
It’ll be tires, then some recovery gear to cover the basics for getting out there.

I'm very happy with my Prospeed rack. I really love the look of it, I also like that it's quieter than other racks I've heard, as that is important to me, but the downside is the cost to get it to Western Canada, it was pretty high, and the lead time was extended too, as it had to go through the US before heading north. So its certainly not a slam dunk easy answer. Weigh up your thoughts between the hit to the wallet and the aesthetics of a well made quiet rack with a bunch of accessories.

I also ended up having some custom accessories made here in Alberta to avoid the long wait and dealing with the supplier in NY. They turned out great.

Dealing with that North American distributor wasn't the smoothest process. I wouldnt go as far as saying anything particularly bad about them, but I certainly wouldnt praise them either. I'd have preferred to deal with a different supplier thats for sure, or preferably, directly with Prospeed in the UK.

A photo from Pismo Dunes last weekend.

Tried different tire pressures but found that deflating to 20 psi worked best.

The rig performed in the dunes like a champ. Even in hairy areas where I was worried. I have a new found respect for these things in the sand.
