Hey there!!! I live out in the northern part of Canada and have no access to land rover dealers. My truck has a busted rear air bag on the suspension. It is a 1999 discovery II. Has anyone ever changed an airbag on their own and if so is there anything special to know? I spoke with a dealer that told me that you need a special lift. Is there any way around that??

Thanks

You can change the air bag, just jack up the one rear side that is bad with the battery disconnected. This way the pump will not try to air the bag up and it will not tear the other side.

Personally for the cost of one air bag, you could replace both rear bags with spring. Then you will never have to worry about it again.
