stereo questions

Ok so I just got my 95 disco about a week ago now, and I have a blown amp, from what the old owner said. Ive been reading alot about putting in an aftermarket radio in. Here are some of the questions I have: 1) how the heck do you get out the factory radio 2) what harness do I need for this 3) can i just eliminate and remove the factory amp and just rewire the speaker leads from the amp harness to the head unit harness......... NEED HELP PLEASE....... no music is killing me!

If you follow the website link from your last post about your radio. your #3 question would be answered. Unconnect the big white plug and chop off the wires and trace them back to the desired speakers.

To remove your factory radio.... get a 2mm allen wrench (or whatever size fits in there and you feel it grab), stick it in the hole on the front of your radio and turn counter clock wise untill loose, the screw wont come out. Repeat on the other side. The radio will slide out.

thanks for the help! I wasnt sure about which wires are the speaker wires. But Im in the process of tracing them back right now!
p.s. how good are the stock speakers in there....amp was blown when i got it!

Unless it has the Harmon/Kardon system, I would upgrade the entire system...

I trashed all genuine speakers!! Your D1 shouldnt have the HK system.

I went all JL audio. 4.5 in the front doors and 5.25 in the rear pillars. I wired up a Total Mobile Audio (made by JL) amp under the drivers seat which drives a 10" JL sub in the back.
