I have a '99 D2 w/ approx. 90k mi.- 1st post and glad to see such a well established community here.

Wondering if anyone has anything good or bad to say about the Strutmasters alternative to LR genuine SLS. Or if there is any better options? I had the driver's side rear SLS replaced at the dealer for $800. Now the passenger side rear SLS is finished. I'd rather not see the dealer again for this (nor spend the $800). I have a very qualified wrench of a brother nearby to help with the labor. Just want to make sure I have the best part available. Any suggestions? Thank in advance!

I personally have not used Strutmasters, but with a Lifetime warranty... you can't beat the price. Normally I would use after market for this anyways, so I would say go for it.

Plus they pay the bills for the site

I replaced my old RR air with arnott, loved 'em - took 4hrs, saved $2000

I agree w/joey, although I'm not concerned about brownie points:biggrin::biggrin:

First, the dealer screwed you at $800 for one air bag. The bags are about $130 from Arnott and it takes 20 minutes to install them.
If you want I can walk you thru either switching out the bag or down-grading to a good coil conversion.
Send me your number if you want me to call you.
