Okay, I've been trying to change all my fluids and I'm a little confused about the swivel housing part. Do only the front wheels have swivel housings or are they also on the rear wheels? I thought my repair manual said they were on the rear wheels too but when I loosened the two bolts it just removed the brake caliper so I'm thinking that wasn't it. So is it only on the front wheels?

Should be only on the front, right? Does it allow the wheel hubs to rotate on the axle? Or am I insane? Its the round silver buddies at the front wheels I believe, ahaha, I love being vague....

Yeah, the swivel housings are only on the front. They are probably the only shiny part of the vehicle!

Ahhh lol okay. I couldn't figure out what would be "swivelling" on the back wheels, but I thought the book said they were on the rear wheels too. Maybe they said the back of the front wheels? Anyways, I'm gonna try doing them.

Have yours not been serviced with the Land Rover Genuine One Shot grease? I have a sticker on the front of my engine bay--where the warning stickers are all at--that says that (or something like it). LR did a retrofit of the Discos I believe under warranty that got rid of the oil in the swivel housings. I am not sure if you can change the grease in there after they have done it, perhaps be too sticky? I am not sure. Anyone want to chime in on this?

Swivels are only on the front. Replace the original oil with Land Rover swivel grease and say goodbye to leaks.

My Land Rover dealer says that the swivel grease is lifetime unless you go through water or a lot of mud. Although I've never changed the grease, I am advised that it can be done as the grease is not like regular grease. It is more like really thick gear oil.
