Tach quits working

Dash tach and water temp gauges quit at times. Worse when cold. If you hit a bump they will start working, so I know im looking for a bad connection. Any ideas on location of connectors. The plug at the dash panel is ok.

Either the ground under the dash is loose (right under the steering wheel area)

Or you have loose connection on the back of the Alternator causing the Tach issues Water temp... ground.
