TAILGATE Open

Has anyone had a problem where the TAILGATE is reported to be open and it's not or a similar problem? When I lock the car the horn sounds and the dome light remains on. The dome light does appear to go off after some time. I'm concerned about it remaining on and discharging the battery.

Mine only closes properly about half the time. If it really is closed and you still have this problem, I'm sure a quick trip to the dealer is in order.

I would take it to the dealer. I sometimes have that problem with the hood. But a really good slam usually takes care of it.

There is an adjustment the dealer can make to fix this. It's been reported by a number of people.

Thanks for the info. I took it to the dealer and they informed me that they need to replace the latch. Hopefully that will fix the problem.
