I got a 1994 Land Rover Discovery that I am so close on junking the darn thing.

When I hit the brake paddle the 15 amp fuse that activates the brake lights and such POPS! I have tried every possibility to get my Rover running. I replaced all of the relays from ABS to the Muilt Port.

Help!

Hope it is as simple as the rusty holder....but wow, if it is, try not to jump off a bridge cause im sure all the parts you been fixing havent been cheap....the smallest things **** rovers off, meanwhile you think that your broken rotor and trailing driveshaft would put off an light, they likely wouldnt lol...good luck on fixin the brakes--ABS has always been an issue on the rovers....

So far, I have disconnected the Tail Lights and its still doing the same thing. I forgot to mention that the Water Heater blow up a few years ago going to Burbank.

So far yes, alot of money has been put into my rover. I learned my lesson on buying any car from a Car Auction over Via Ebay.

This is whats been done.

New <Well new to me, Rebuilted> 3.9 Motor upgrade to 4.2. New Shifter Box do to the Locker inside the box I guess its called Didn't work.

I'm running out of Options here guys. But I'll check the Rusty Bulb connector just incase.

Could also be (but I doubt it) a bad Brake light switch.... normally they don't last that long anyways.

Sounds like a direct short... unfortunatly there is not quick find for something like this... easiest fix would be to rewire the brake lights.

Or you could do Like I used to do, but may or may not be a good idea... direct wire the fuse apply break untill you see or smell smoke, then you found the issue.... have a good fire extinguisher near by though.
