2008 lr3 hse

I bought my LR3 four weeks ago and this weekend took it offroad at General Sams Offroad Park in Huntsville, TX.

Didn't do anything too adventurous but did manage to add some pinstriping to the sides of the new gal.

Some pictures attached (I think).

Have already learned a lot from you all here; thank you all for your contributions. I don't think I'll be able to add anything that you haven't already covered but I do intend to be an avid amateur DIY'er so will upload evidence of any successes and mistakes made along the way.

First thing might be to add a couple of inches of lift and replace the current tires with some of the decent offroad variety.

Sorry don't have any photos doing anything dangerous. I still have to pick it up, so maybe I can drive over a small curb in the parking lot.

After I picked it up the dealer invited me to some off road event for Land Rovers. I Almost flipped it on 45 side hill! Climbed some pretty big hills and did some deep water. It was pretty fun, and I don't think my Ford Explorer could have done it. Even at the high suspension settings I was scraping bottom quite a bit. The dealer got his hung up with all 4 wheels off the ground. Had to pull him off it. They treated everone to lunch and paid for the 500 acre gravel pit park. At the end they gave out hats bags, USB drives etc.
