I am new to the Land Rover world. I have a 2005 LR3.

My question is this, when I am at an idle in park I hear a ticking noise. I asked the tec and he said that noise was normal.

Does anyone else experience this?
Thanks

gmoney- I've asked my dealer to check for a similar noise (especially when cold) and they tell me it's normal. Although I don't think it sounds normal, I have had a loaner or 2 make the same sound.

If lr3's have manifolds. They sometimes develop "hairline" cracks. Mine on my Landcruiser has it. It doesn't go away either. Loud on cold start. And sometimes goes away. I know nothing about the lr3. And thats my ****** diagnostic. Hope it was close!
