Now I'm ready to replace my tie rods before I get stranded. My question is regarding required tools and any tips/recommendations out there. Rather than buying the tools at Atlantic British or elsewhere, will a BMW ball joint tie rod end separator tool work rather than the specific LR tool? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Unless I am wrong... any ball joint seperator should work... i.e. tuning fork.

Tips.... make your own front end alignment tool, so when you are done you don't have to go anywhere to have it done.

Remember the D1 or D2 is set to zero.... i.e. measure back of tires inside and front of tires inside they should be the same before and after you are done with the work.
