timing cover

hello
anyone tell me the plug on the passenger side above the oil filter with the spring clip on the cover. is that the oil pressure valve. is there a seal on the plug that can be replaced or do you have to replace the whole timing cover. disco 2 4.0 engine

Got a picture? and have you check the repair manual (RAVE) to see if the part is listed?

In your post regarding the radio code you said your disco is a 1997? if so I think you have a Disco 1, the Disco 2 didn't go into production over seas until late 1998 and didn't come to the states until late 1999. Make sure of the model before looking for a fix because the two motors are different from the D1 to the D2
