Hi All,

I have an '06 LR3 HSE. I'm wondering if anyone knows how to tell if the truck is equipped with the TPM system. My owner's manual states 'Your vehicle may be equipped with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System' (key word - MAY ). I thought I'd see if anyone here knows before putting out a call to my dealer or the LR 800#. Any help would be appreciated....thanks

The HSEs come standard with TPMS, even on the spare.

Valve stems

TPMS cars have a full metal valve stem that is part of the sensor. Non-TPMS have standard rubber stems.
How is that for easy?

You can add a tire pressure monitoring system for less than $300 on a vehicle though....

When you say you can add a TPMS to my LR3 for less than $300, are we talking OEM or third party? Thanks, -Seth

Is there any way to add the OEM parts on? I have wheels with sensors in them already

As far as I can tell each tire needs a sensor, there needs to be an antenna in each wheel well, then you need the TPM (Tire Pressure Monitor) ECU, then this all has to integrate into the dash with a reset or monitor screen.

I do not believe it would be either cheap or possible to add all this as a OEM install, but I am sure with the right money, anything can be done.

Thanks for the input guys. Just checked...my valves are rubber, and no TPMS switch next to the DSC switch....i guess no TPMS for me.
