Hey everyone,
‘13 LR4. I’m changing the transmission fluid and noticed there is no heat shield or heat shield bracket around the tranny. I emptied the fluid and dropped the pan, noticed the fluid was pristine appearing with minimal metal shavings around the magnets. Truck has 85k on it, I’ve owned it for 3 years. I’m wondering if the previous owner did it and they didn’t bother to put the heat shield back up. 2 questions:
1) does this model have a heat shield or did they do away with it?
B) If so, is it necessary I replace it?
