Transmission seal??

I have had some bad leakage under my 00 DII....get underneath and found that when I had Rover mechanic change my trans fluid, he just placed one of my trans seals up in the engine block rather than putting it back in. Now can't get the seal back in. Is ths normal? Any suggestions?

Sounds like you need to take it back to your mechanic and have them fix it correctly. If you leaking fluid from the transmission it will not be long before you can't drive anymore.
