oh boy that seafoam works great . its past midnight now and i just got back from the drive . did it at night on purpose so i wouldnt attract attention with all that smoke that lasted for about 5-10 miles . the only way i can describe the effect is that the car drives " lighter " and smoother . there really was nothing wrong with my vehicle but i did it anyway . engine never stalled while pouring the seafoam can in slowly ( in addition to a can in the gas tank and another in the oil ) and no warning lights lit up on the dash . for 15 bucks and 15 mins of ur time , i definately recommend it and the result is worth it .

If you added seafoam the oil... change the oil within the next 100 miles, you do not want to run seafoam in the oil for very long since it does brake down all the gunk it will start to clog other things up if you wait to long.

funny u mentioned that joey it happens that im about 100 miles away from an oil change . but ill do it in about 50 just to be safe . but i had a question . i bought a couple of bottles of seafoam TRANS TUNE . supposed to help with the rare hesitation and shaking that i told u about . but here's the dilema : where's the transmission filler ? i found every filler cap for all the fluids in the car except the transmission . anybody know ? thanks guys .

If a D1, it is on the back left hand side of the engine... if a D2, the you have the joy of crawling underneath. I beleive it is on the passanger side front of the transmission... not sure if I have a pic of this.... sorry

dont worry about learning....taking your time and just looking at stuff and analyzing is the best way to learn where everything is...hell...ive only had my rover for 6 months, and ive learned so much by just staring and comin on this board...i still have to do the seafoam but it seems kinda scary haha...well when i get close to my next oil change ill do it....good job styler, keep showin the rover love!

Keep in mind that is the only way to check the fluid level in a D2 as well.... crawl under and check the fill hole IIRC

A good rule of thumb is to make sure the filler hole opens before you open the drain plug. Remove the filler plug/bolt FIRST!!!!!! Nothing like having the filler plug seized after you drain the fluids. It's kinda hard to turn the truck over to refill .....
