Unhappy LR4

This guy had an oil leak, which turned out to be in the valley of the v8. I guess the motor locked up about 1/2 mile from the dealer. Luckily, Land Rover is paying for the repairs.

I don't think I would want this one anymore...

get a copy of the vin number so the forum members know to avoid it on the used car market? :) that would be malo, but great picture none the less...

One day it will look great with a neon-illuminated undercarriage and some 20" tires with spinners.

Assuming that the techs are qualified and have good attention to detail, why would you avoid this truck? I can see this truck actually being 'better than new' if the work was performed properly.

However, I assume it's getting a brand new motor and not having a siezed motor rebuilt. I wouldn't rebuild any 'modern' motor that had any amount of metal pushed through it's oilways.

Sweet, galvy chassis is possible just like my d-90... :biggrin:

I'd do it now if I was the owner.
