vacuum hose etc.

I see the need to replace all vacuum hose and found a hose at the firewall end of the valve cover on the driver side (95 disco 3.9 auto) that runs toward the left front and stops at the front of the air filter and is hooked to nothing. Anyone know what it is supposed to hook to. Have already changed the hose to the vacuum pump . Is there some sort of connection under the filter box???

This should be to the vacuum pump.... unless you have two going that way...

Thanks for your response but I don't have another receptable on the pump, all that's there is the white pipe with a flange around the end and the hose would not fit .... the hose is not long enough to reach the pump unless about 8 inches has been broken off ..any other suggestions??Thanks in advance..
