Hey guys I am new to the site and looked through all that I could and didn't find the information I was looking for.

I have wet floorboards in my 05 LR3. I read in some threads people were talking about sunroof drainage issues. I checked to see where the water was coming from and I could not find the source, the floors are just soaked. The driver side seems to be fine, but the whole right side of the car seems to be wet. The front seat is soaked and along the back seat it is only wet at the plastic piece by the door but there is a small puddle.

I just bought this car and I NEED HELP!!

Check the platic cowling at the base of your windshield. If it's significantly warped then water likely ingressed through there. There is a fix for that...relatively cheap.

Thanks for your help I think that could be it.

What is relatively cheap? Are we talking less than $100? Is there any fixes for this vehicle that are less than that?

Like I said I am very new to this site and vehicle so all information is greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem with water in the passenger footwell last year just after I bought my '05 LR3, it's a common problem. There are tubes which drain water from the sunroof (which doesn't make a full seal), the tubes either get clogged or become disconnected and cause water to back up into the footwells. Take it to a shop and they will either reconnect the hoses or blow out the lines, it's not very expensive.

I read a lot about the sunroof problem. I read some guys post about pouring a small amount of water down the drainage tubes to see if it would drain out, so i tried, and it did. From both sides and from the front and the back. So I believe those are working properly.

I have read about A/C drain leaks as well. I ran the A/C almost all day yesterday and noticed it this morning with no rain last night. I have not run the A/C since so I am a little nervous to do so.

The good news is it was not to wet and I was able to lift the plastic panel by the door to lift the carpet enough to soak up the water underneath. I can still feel a little moisture underneath the carpet but nothing major and I am watching it closely but the carpet on top is dry with no moldy smell. So I am happy about that.

Anyone know anything about the A/C drain leak problems?

When I had the roof leak I dried the foam under the carpet by lifting up the carpet and propping it up with some wooden blocks, I then ran the heaters to blow on the footwells and ran a dehumidifier with the windows closed, I had to run it for 24 hours straight to dry it all up but my carpets were very wet. I then sprayed a little bleach under the foam to **** any mold that may have started to grow. I also left some baking soda in the footwells whilst it was drying and it took care of any smell that was there from the foam being soaked for several weeks. This worked really well and the foam and carpet were totally dried out, hope this helps.

Thank Houm, I will have the windshield checked out, lucky for me the forecast is clear and I will be keeping her garage keep. I will keep that in mind though if I wash her before I go to a shop.

escociabhoy, that definitely helps. I will have to do some extra work just to make sure it is nice and dried up and use some bleach and baking soda so it doesn't start to smell. Did you just use a standard humidifier? Or is the a "special" one for a car?

It has to be a de-humidifier, I just borrowed one from a friend so it doesn't have to be specially made for a car, I ran the power cord out of the window and used a towel to seal the window as much as possible so the de-humidifier could get as much of the water out of the air as possible.
