What Is This????

So what in the world is this little fan for ??

Left side of steering column
Just to the Right of the electric mirror knob.
It looks like a little plastic grate but behind it is a little electric fan.

Mine is making a bunch of noise (probably really dirty ).
I cannot seem to locate it in the RAVE Workshop Manual.
I would assume that it has to do with the air/heat system but ????

There are enough other rattles I don't need this one too !

Sensor - air temperature (I think)

Page 1094 of 1354 in the Rave Discovery Series II Workshop Manual

This seem right to anyone??

I don't have the D2 manual.... or a D2, so I can't help.

I think you will find that this is the in car temperature sensor. Mine was full of fuzz a small brissle bush was ideal to clean the vent.
