Does anyone know the sound of a wheel bearing going bad? I think mine is on its way out.

I didnt hear anything untill I had been driving for around 45 min. As I was pulling into my drive going about 5 and I started to hear a grinding sound comming from one of the wheels. I know it is not from under the hood.

Anyone?

Grinding sound can be a bad thing... could be the bearing... the CV joint, or it could be the swivel is out of grease...

Yeah I did think about the swivel being out of grease. I dont have the fill plug so i'd have to go in the hard way. The CV is fine I think, no click clacking when turning.

I have been having this stupid squeal problem ever since I did the front brakes. I havent herd the squeal for awhile.........

At this point I am soo sick of messing with these stupid brakes. I have taken them apart and back together at least 3 times I think now and cant find out why the squeal. I kind of hope its the bearings or something different.

Thanks for getting back at me Joey

Keep in mind that metallic brakes will make noise... there is not much you can do about it... metal to metal will squeal.
