where is the little brown box to turn off emissions service engine light on a 97 disc

Hi all...

I have a 97 disco (in canada) and want to know where the little brown box for emissions is on the vehicle to shut off / reset the service engine light. I've read under the kick plate, under drivers seat, under passenger seat and have looked but not found. Does anyone know its whearabouts...

look behind the trim panel on the passenger side footwell, there you will compleate your quest -Andy

It actually is well-labeled as well -- "Emissions Control Reminder" or something like that. It's sort of a reddish-brown (Georgia Clay?) color, with a LR Oval sticker on the top.

cool...now that i've found it, and if i short it out by putting the little drill bit or nail in it to reset the light, will it or can it screw up the main computer on the truck, or is it safe to do?

short it out should not mess anything up, most people just remove the box and throw it away....
