Hey everyone, I have a 2016 LR4 and I was going to wire up my lights myself from Stedi(https://www.stedi.com.au/) but the Stedi adapter that I have (H7) does not fit the headlight configuration that I have. I contacted Stedi but they do not have an adapter for this configuration. I am not opposed to taking the car to a shop to have it wired but before I did that I was wondering if anyone else had run into this or knew what I might try and do myself.

I asked the Stedi Facebook group as well and will screenshot some of their answers but wanted to get a second opinion about wiring.

I know a little to be dangerous so I didn't want to try something on my own and totally mess things up. Just was curious. Hope all is well.

Are you trying to tap into your fog lights or what's going on?

My suggestion is to run a separate fuse, relay, and switch specifically for these aux lights. I'm sure the amount of amp draw required are easy more than your fog lights. Plus you do NOT want to have any electrical issues with the Landy.

I was bold enough to successfully replace my fog lights with Baja Designs Squadron-R ambers.

It looks like he's trying to make the spot lights come on with the brights. That's a level of sophistication I probably would not attempt.

But just to help OP out, the 2016 LR4 does use bi-xenon bulbs. The fuse adapter idea to tap into the brights does seem interesting. I'd be curious if it has power all the time or just when the brights are activated.

I know I just used a fuse adapter last night for the ignition wire on my ARB compressor. I tapped into the fuse for my rear seat heaters. It had power even when the rear seat heaters were not turned on.

Ahh that would make sense. You'll need to look at the wiring loom and figure out what the schematics are for each wire. I'm sure there's one out there. Worst case, not sure if this will work either, test each wire with a 12v circuit tester for positive and negative poles with lights on/off. The only foreseeable issue is that the truck will throw a code, but not sure if this will hinder testing.

I assume OP is going to t-tap into the high beam positive side to act as the signal for the relay to turn on Stedi lights, where the relay is actually providing the power feed and amp draw. I don't think there's much of an amp draw since it's just a signal wire.

The wiring harness is set up to try and tie into the high beams so that when you turn them on the spotlights turn but the spotlights also have a switch. I was not necessarily trying to tie them into the fog lights(But open to any suggestions).

The first picture shows the wiring harness and if you look the relay has everything tieing into it. Near the rubber mat you can see the connection to an olderstyle headlight from the main relay. I reached out to the manufacturer about bypassing that but they said since it runs into the little black box it would be complicated to try and just cut it out(bypass). I would be fine if the lights just operated off the switch. I don't care if it goes through the high beams.

Thanks for everyone's help so far.
