Should I buy a used 2006 LR3?
I have had 1 thing break - speed sensor (while on vacation of course) $30 part that I was able to diagnose (thanks IID tool!). I didn't have any tools and was on vacation, so it cost $200. Not many pics to go on. I love my 06 LR3 HSE! It has 90k miles and I bought it with 79k or so miles. I would still have an independent Rover mech inspect it.- Silmarillion

Compressor Mod - use it for tires?
What compressor did you go with? Makes sense regarding the size/output capacity. Always strikes me as odd that so many people buy them even though there's one already in the vehicle. Must not be compatible, otherwise I'm not sure why it wouldn't be a more popular mod.- Silmarillion

Compressor Mod - use it for tires?
It appears the LR3 has a pretty beefy compressor and a small air tank. Have you heard of anyone modifying the compressor so that they could use it to fill their tires or use it for tools? Terrible idea?- Silmarillion

Largest Full Size Spare Tire?
I fit a ko2 265/65/r18 under there. It had to be deflated and I had to remove the heat guard. It did not fit with the heat guard removed and the tire fully inflated. I keep a bike pump in my rover now heh- Silmarillion

Recent extended warranty experience?
Agreed! I was quite frustrated. They fixed all the things that came up within the first few weeks of ownership without any pushback, the biggest being that the vehicle would not shift in to sport or command shift, which apparently took like 6 hours of work to rewire. Luckily nothing has broken...- Silmarillion

My dealer recommended ASC. Local Atlanta guy. They require the purchase on all their vehicles now apparently. Long story short, I don't have one (but tried, and luckily haven't had any problems)- Silmarillion

New to Land Rover's....Maintenance Issues on 06' LR3?!
I've had my 06 for just over a year and have put 10k+ miles on it and am now at 87k. No major problems have happened since I've purchased it. No service items other than what it started with that was fixed by the dealer. Make sure you get the suspension checked. Mine already had parts recently...- Silmarillion

I have a slightly broken unit you can buy for $50 - everything works on it but the height selector (rain damage). You could easily take off the knob...if you can figure out how to!
