You've only mentioned 4 Land Rover models. There are 12 other models/trims coming, you're going to like one.

In the end I'm sure I will. I need to rant. Where else am I going to go? I'm not leaving the brand. I just want to get my '13 and take amazing care of it so it'll last 10 plus years.

Hey Count,

I agree with everything you said in your previous post - we are so much alike. As I mentioned, I like the RR Evoque for what it is and its niche. However, that does not mean I want every LR vehicle to look like a bloated Evoque (like the 2014 RRS). The RRS has never been my favorite, but I still liked the last few years of design. As for the 2013 RR, it's a brilliant vehicle, I just don't like the "soft" design. The outgoing model is much nicer in design (in my opinion). If I were in the market for a RR, I'd 100% go with a left over 2012.

I keep thinking that I should keep my 2011, but I prefer to get the Lux with all the options I want and likely keep that long term - especially with the direction in which LR is going. Do you have a link to some of the spy photos for the 2016 Discovery 5/LR5? I looked on the web, but only found an image that looks a lot like the current model.

I don't want to leave the LR brand, especially since I have no idea which direction I would go. I had a 2000 Discovery and it was such a piece of crap that I sold it and got a Mercedes and then had 3 Mercedes (last being an ML) before going with my LR4.

I would love to see LR release a Safari Edition of the new RR, brush guards, bull bar, driving lamps and rack. That would be redeeming and I bet it would look great.

Today I was at Home Depot getting a new *** to replace one that was blown over and broke last week. My Son loves that place.

Anyway, I saw a optioned out Ford Explorer there and it's a great looking SUV. Yeah, it's not a LR, but it's a good looking truck. I was really blown away at how much this Explorer looks like the new RRS. Someone mentioned earlier that their design was well on its way when Ford owned LR, but I still can't believe it hasn't generated a lawsuit. Maybe it was a long-term strategy by both Ford and LR to share design-ques. Even the big "Explorer" across the front of the clam shell bonnet is so obviously LR inspired. And the front and rear lights as well.

Do you guys think LR will show the 2014 LR4 refresh at NY next week? I have a feeling they will. I'm very curious at how the new headlights will look. I noticed the other day as a new RR was approaching, when the driver put on the right turn signal, the LED strip disappeared/went off and the orange indicator went on. Just like the older Audi's. It's odd because the first thought was the LED was broken. But when the RR turned around and the indicator stopped, the LED strip came back to life.

I was at my dealer today and they said you can order a 2013 LR4 up until July, but they have been scarce for the last few months. I'm pretty tight with these guys, so I think the info is correct. Personally, I don't think I would wait past may.

They said they can't order 2014's until Oct. for a Jan. delivery...

That makes more sense. May would be ok with me. Also gives me more of a chance to see more details on the 2014. A May order would probably get in when, July/August? I don't mind overlapping a couple of months.

Another price point of reference.

I recently got a 2013 HSE Lux, Fuji White/Ebony w/ black lacquer finish trim, RSE, Sat Radio, Heavy Duty for 60k, msrp was $63,420

- editing out false info -

I am hoping the new engines are fantastic and that it is progress... but for me, it would hurt a little to pull up next to a nissan altima with a 3.5 V6 and have a 3.0 (granted, supercharged) in my rover... just seems odd.

V8 ftw!

From what I hear, a 14 will get some victora beckam treatment... next headlights and whatnot... depends on what style you like too.
