If the eventual Bronco looks like the classic, 66-77 Bronco as it's rumored to, I'm interested.

What is it about the Bronco that you like?

Domestic vehicle at about the size I like (hopefully big enough to sleep in the back).

Ford reliability and parts availability.

Rumored to have a solid axle rear end. Undetermined on the front end, from what I have read.

I'm too far down the LR4 rabbit hole to realistically think of replacing it, but I am interested to see what the Bronco turns out to be.

I'm on the other side of that coin. I'm dragging my feet doing anything more to my LR4 until I see what the future holds with the new Defender, the new Bronco, and the diesel Wrangler/Gladiator.

I have a 2015 LR4 that is just itching to be traded in. First in line is the Defender, but the Bronco or maybe, just maybe in the Gladiator are possibilities.

My problem is that the ‘12 LR4 with the new better wheels, tires and the rtt is just too good to do anything with... just did a 2,000 mi RT through Utah and SoCal with motorcycle on the back. A little 4x4 work and overall, just such a great vehicle to tour and camp with. It’s comfortable to drive, has a ton of storage, hauls a 250lb motorcycle without complaint, on and off road, and as long as I don’t look at the so-called infotainment screen, all is good.

Theoretically, I would love a diesel for my uses, but the DPF, EGR, DEF just kills modern diesel for me for rugged/remote use.

I have had a diesel truck as my daily driver for years, but I would not want to be in the middle of nowhere subject to all those additional hassles.

If you are willing to delete, then that could be a different story.

Ford reliability and parts availability.
Here's the thing. I left my Ford F150 for LR because of this. Ford and others continue to use vacuum driven hubs on the front ends. My hubs burned up under extended warranty. They couldn't find the leak, they fought on fixing the issue. When the vacuum fails it doesn't throw a warning. It simply half engages and burns up the hub. You then have to flip it in to 4x4 100% to run it. This is a known issue all over the forums and they likely have no plans to address this on newer systems. They use the same system on the Raptor and I have no doubt they'll do it on the Bronco. Personally I'd rather have full time locked 4x4 (which is why I'm in an LR4).

I know there isn't any perfect vehicle out there and LR is known for reliability issues but I'd take a luxury LR any day over the chaos of dealing with Ford and warranty repairs.

I agree that they all have their issues. I probably should have said "reliability and availability of parts". You can wander into somewhere in just about every hamlet in North America and have a decent chance of finding Ford parts. LR, not so much.

I know those hubs have been an issue for years on F150's. My Fords have been F250's, though, which still retain the ability to manually lock the hubs. At least my last 2014 model did.
