At offroad height, if you get stuck, bottom on a hard obstacle or wade in too deep, the car will know that and raise itself a by a further inch, also displaying a message that if you’d like it to raise a further-further inch, you need to step on the brake and press the raise button. You are then on stiff stilts, as if, but at least from 2014 on, it’s an OEM feature in some configs.

Very cool - never heard of this. Not that I plan to get stuck as described, but it's nice to know there is additional suspension height available in emergencies!

Anyone know if the feature is present on 2010-2013 USA spec with the V8 5.0L engine?

Mudtech’s Anitas system allows to bypass that manually and add up to THREE inches above OEM offroad height. But I’ve had problems with it, waiting for a third unit now - wait till you hear from me next before you order. The IID Tool should also make things like that possible, haven’t tried yet although I do have one - but Anitas is simpler, at a press of a button.

If you leave the car in neutral reverse or drive and turn it off it will apply the parking break on 10-13 on 14-16 if you leave it in drive or reverse and turn it off the gear *** will put itself in park.

If the wood trim rattles in your lr4 you can put a piece of paper in between it and the leather to make it shut up

If you need more space to operate in the engine bay and don’t want to remove the hood completely you can remove the hood struts and you will find a piece of metal that blends in with the regular hood hinge and they will secure the hood in place at almost a 90° (Their on both sides)
