For those of you that have installed the ARB Deluxe bumper, what should I be aware of when picking a winch?
It’s a big truck so obviously a good capacity, and I’ve become a big fan of synthetic lines.
Advice?

12K winch. Always at least 1.5x the weight of the truck.

Oh absolutely. A 12k is what I was thinking. I guess I was wondering more about fitment issues or clearance inside the mount point.

I have a warn zeon, no real fitment issues that I recall. The freespool is easily reachable which is nice.

I agree with @NASdiesel . I just slapped a 12k zeon platinum on mine but it was a T44 front bumper. Only thing I would suggest is changing the hardware to 1/2" grade 8. Once you remove that front bumper you will see that the 8 bolts that you use to connect the winch tray to the frame are 8mm, or something along those lines. I ended up drilling those threads out put the beefier hardware on...probably overkill, but makes me feel better about it. You can see the comparison below between the two.

I put a 10k Zeon Platinum in my ARB Summit bar (which does work on all LR4 models, not just MY14+). I read that the motor and everything is the same on the 10k and 12k, they just changed the gear ratio. I'd rather have the line speed by default and do more double pulls anyway, so I went that way.

I've used my winch on the trails quite a bit and it has been fantastic. No regrets on the 10k. The line speed is pretty good and the wireless remote is pretty dang nice to have, it just needs plugged in because it seems to not hold charge long, almost like its using capacitors instead of a battery.

I tip the scales at 9K pounds loaded. Had the 10K winch in my first bumper install and it struggled especially on hill climbs in snow bound woods (double line - Winter Romp). Had a chance to redo the bumper install and put the 12K in.

This was one of the reasons I went with the 12k off the bat as I was so close to going with the 10. Didn't want to redo and with all the steel skids, sliders, gear etc the 12k gives me piece of mind... Plus I couldn't justify not going with a better version of the winch with it not being that much more and it also comes with the Spydura Pro rope. You have a killer rig, definitely dig the setup.

So I ended up with a Smittybilt winch. We are having some issues trying to fit it. Anyone used this setup and could give me some hints?

9000? That's heavy! How do you get there?
