I have a 2006 LR3 I'm looking to take out West for about 5k miles round trip. I'm a bit gun shy just because the Rover is older and aging but running well at about 113,000 miles. Not planning on doing any off road activity. I'm done most of the maintenance needed for it around the 100,000 mark minus the brake caliper lines because they don't look that bad and the vent hose from the thermostat housing just because I don't feel like taking the whole assembly off to get behind the throttle body, yet. It could use a fresh set of struts but it's not riding that bad. Left front needs a wheel bearing replaced which I'm going to do soon. Anything I should be checking or looking for?

Hmmm.....fresh fluids, make sure the bleeder valve is by-passed or replaced with the brass one. Maybe inspect the EAS. I think you'll be fine!

Only you can vouch for the current state of your LR3

If you are current on maintenance and checked all your levels, just bring good spares - some fluids, select parts, def a spare bleeder T, basic tools, gloves, and your AAA card

I am at 155k and don't hesitate to take mine 500+ miles with my wife and 2 kids

I agree on making sure that bleeder valve is replaced. Mine failed on my 2006 LR3 around the same mileage as yours. That was an expensive tow (couldn't get air out of the system without a special machine at Land Rover).

for sure the bleeder valve. Just found out the hard way Sunday afternoon near the Great Sand Dunes south East Colorado.
Nice! (well, not nice) I always wanted to do that trail. My bleeder valve disintegrated north of I-70.

I drove mine from WY to Key West FL with about 2 weeks in New Orleans. I've got almost 150k on it and I would do it again.
