I would like to start off saying, "I have ZERO affiliation with Lucky 8 LLC." I'm just posting this for those looking to get a GAP IIDTool BT, but just couldn't justify the cost. Well, here's your opportunity as they are on sale.

This is by far the best, best bang for the buck, and cheapest upgrade you can do for your LR4 or Rover for that matter. To get your tool at the discounted price of $488 use the discount code “MBGAP1”

Lucky8 LLC will honor an IIDTool BT for $480 (includes shipping) when you tell them you're part of this Facebook group. You should probably join too. Lots of action with some substance.

djkaosone, Thank you! Yes Lucky8 did honor that price. And they don’t mess around; it showed up at my door in only a couple of days I think. PayPal $480 included tax and fast FedEx shipping.

This IIDTool is so cool I just wish I had ordered it sooner.

Nice truck!! The Compomotives look great, and I'm sure that they work well. My 2106 'Landmark' is white as well. Compos are not quite in my budget yet, but I am going to order a GAP IID tool soon. Your 3 pic's appear to be 'off-road', 'normal' and 'access' heights perhaps adjusted to your spec's using the GAP tool?
If so, could you share the values (adjusted heights) that you used? Also, any clearance issues or rubbing when dropped like that? It seems that 265-60-18's work without issues...yours look bigger maybe 65's? Thanks!

Thank you. With the exception of the IIDTool, the truck is basically as I had purchased it. Mods to come. Right now it has 285/60 R18 Compomotives wrapped in some very wide Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Unfortunately the spare isn’t a Compo. Until i bought the tool there has only been the lift rods for height adjustment and they work great. There can be a little tire rubbing at full lock when at normal ride height, but it is so minor that I had been driving the truck for a few weeks before I noticed it.

I may go ahead and remove the rods now. I tried +20mm above the rods, before going back down to +10 mm which I’m happy with.

I’m seriously looking at the SYA kit, and 275/70 R18s. The problem with that is that I’ve already hit those dangling PVC low-height warning bars in a parking deck. With the SYA extension kit and even bigger tires I may not be able to lower the truck enough to park in parking decks. My job takes me to office buildings where it would be very inconvenient to not be able to use the clients parking deck.

First pic is rods and IID & second is lowered to _______ (how much), or is that rods only & third is lowered/stuffed using IID tool, right?

The three pictured heights are with Lift rods installed, and +10 mm programed with the IIDTool. The first two pictures are with the center console EAS height control set to: Off-road, and Normal. In the third, wheels "stuffed" picture the EAS is set to "Bump" (down on it's bump stops) with the IIDTool. There isn't a picture of the truck with the height console control set to Access height.

I believe (but I haven't confirmed this) that when the EAS is set to Bump with the tool, the computer disregards the presence of rods, and programming with the IIDTool. That is an 'ass-u-me'ption' on my part. Maybe someone will confirm this for us.

One thing that I notice is that the EAS system goes into a non-functional mode because of an error or fault. It's not supposed to be down there of course and so you have to clear the fault to get it to rise back up. I think I even remember seeing a warning about the possibility of the wheels being stuck up in the wheel wells. They didn't get stuck and the truck will even roll forward and backward. There is definitely some clearance around the tires when they're "stuffed", but the underside of the truck is damn close to the ground. So close I had to look under the truck to confirm that it wasn't touching under there. No; I didn't attempt to turn the wheels! :)
