Extended rood rails part of the black package. Good to know. Don't see a ton of black package LR4s running about.

Got a clean bill of health and went ahead and replaced the crossovers as they appeared original. Now I just need to get it trucked 1200 miles so I can enjoy it!

Well that was quick. First mods showed up before the truck. Compos, blackout, and Gap thanks to @lucky8llc. Now, tire choices. Either Terra or Ridge Grapplers, or KO2s. In LT of course.

She showed up last night covered in 1200 miles of road grime, but it's all good. She cleaned up nice for some quick shots and everything appears to be in order. I don't want to jinx it but everything looks and sounds solid. Interior is fantastic. So, now the build begins. Anyone have any input on what the set of black OE 19"s with tires and tpms should go for? I need these gone ASAP so I can get the Compos on. They are too clean. Maybe the dealer fitted them recently because there's no curbage. Also, what's everyone's iPhone mount rec? I'm partial to the Magic Mount but don't see a great flat-ish spot to attach a base in here. Quick beauty shot:

Knocked out a few easy cosmetic mods to start the weekend. Something I’ve had success with is cleaning up the bumper by using plasti dip to cover the rear snap on reflectors. I prefer the look and yes, I’ve weighed any so-called safety concerns.

Also made some poor decisions last night by attempting my first ever vinyl application in the form of a hood blackout. Now, you all might say you would know that trying to do precise work after a long day in the office, kids screaming, and two double margaritas coursing through the liver is a bad idea. Somehow it didn’t occur to me and I of course cocked it all up in the end. I have a bunch of wrinkles I couldn’t straighten out. But hey I got 90% of it pretty clean. I doubt I can live with it but we shall see.

Also, the wheel set is for sale. I still don’t have sufficient privileges to post in classifieds so mine are on CL:

Happy Saturday.

Congrats on your new rig!
FWIW, here's a link for a Co. here in So Cal that sells reconditioned and take-off Rover wheels. That 19" wheel- '7 double spoke black' goes for $335 reconditioned. In your year, 2012, that same wheel was fished 'silver' as the 19" and 20" 'Black Packs' weren't available until m/y 13. Yours has been nicely 'black-packed' sans the roof rails.

Detailing question for you all. For several days now I've been trying to air out the disco of the disgustingly sweet bubble gum smell from whatever cleaner the dealer used to shine this thing up. Anyone have any good tips on either masking that odor or a different cleaning product with an aroma more apropos to Rover?
