I answered your PM, but to respond to you here, the plugs are the same. If you have a halogen housing, I don't think you would have adaptives. So make sure the xenon housings you buy are the non-adaptive variety (although I think I've read the adaptive ones will work, I didn't want to risk it when I was paying for them).

Make sure the xenon you are buying has the ballast attached to the bottom. After that, just remove the old halogen housing, install the xenon one the exact same way, plug it in, change the settings using the gap tool, and go.

If you are buying a used xenon housing, you probably will not need to aim the headlights (but it would still be a good idea to check). If you are buying new, you will probably need to aim them.

Hello gents, I am returning back to this forum after a few years away, mostly because I am sick of the halogen bulb performance. Thanks for helping me out with my question. I am following the conversation in this thread. But would like to confirm, are there any differences between the harness plugs for the halogen to xenon headlamp assembly swap?

I don't believe so. On my 2012 HSE, I swapped in a set of the HIDs from a Lux. I had to recode in GAP, but they worked fine without any physical modifications.

Thank you both for jumping in and answering my question. I am going to use Merriam Land Rover website to purchase brand new complete assemblies. I have used them before and liked the service. Would rather buy used but at the same time don’t want to deal with hunting for serviceable units.

You in Colorado ? I pulled the HIDs off my 2012 before I traded it in, and have them in the basement. Non-adaptive.
