Brembo Brake Upgrade - 2013 LR4

Pretty straight forward upgrade. Used 2010 RRS components. Painted the calipers, however.

Wow, that is a very nice looking brake caliper. I’d be embarrassed to show you mine. I didn’t even bother really cleaning them when I changed the pads/rotars, just dusted them off a bit.

Looks awesome! Any feedback compared to stock? Also where did you source the parts? Was told the calipers could be tricky to find.

Ebay for the calipers. RockAuto for the rotors and pads. If you end up getting rotors make sure they’re painted. I.e., the hubs. I painted mine and rust is beginning to show through. Actually repainting the rotors today

Braking now vs when I had the original setup on the rig is night and day better.

I need to replace my LR4 front pads & rotors. After digging through Microcat to get the part numbers for the RRS 380x34mm rotors, calipers, and wear sensors... and, finding a pretty red set of Brembo six-pots... then I realized this setup requires 20" wheels!! D'OH!!

I've got brand new 19" Blizzaks and brand new 19" Vredestein Quatrac Pro+, so larger wheels/tires are not an option.

So, I'll be sticking with stock LR4 front brakes (360x30mm). Zimmerman Z-coat rotors and Ferodo pads from FCP Euro for the lifetime warranty. Next time the parts will be cheaper under the free replacement warranty.

I was just looking to see what rims he had, sounds like 20". Still might get more tire options in a 20" vs 19" but probably not K02's..

I wonder if anyone has tried fitting the factory 19's over the six-pots.
