I purchased a 2015 LR4 mid last year and the dealer carried out several repairs such as broken sun roof etc.
We noticed a faint burping sound several times while driving the car and the dealers mechanic claimed they couldn’t get it to do it. The car had 81,000 miles on it and when we received the gas tank was full.
After the first Long drive we went to fill up the tank and had the same problem as you. The dealer quoted $2,000 to fix it which I rejected, they said the whole filling tube needed replacing.
I had used another group to check the car over for and their LR specialist said it was the filter at the bottom of the fill tube & it required removing the tank to replace. Not having facilities I had them do it for the quoted price of $700, no issues since.

Interesting. I'm not seeing any filter available for the fill tube, unless perhaps it's integrated as part of the tube.

Did the invoice list a part number that was replaced?

Filled up the last time without issues. I did go back to the stock gas cap. I had been using a locking cap (as the door does not lock on US models...)

Are you sure the tank is not filling up? I had the same problem and it was the sensors in the gas tank that had to replaced. When I filled up before the most it would read is half of a tank.

Yes, the tank is filling all the way up (it is a little hard to tell with gas milage on these tanks). I did go back to the stock gas cap. We had a rash of gas theft from vehicles and for some odd reason the US version does not have the locking mechanism on the gas door.

I'm about $600 worth of work into trying to resolve this issue on my 2011 LR4 HSE. Replaced a couple of emissions control parts. Could not find a charcoal canister online for sale, so have not tried that. Purge valve and leak detection valve have been replaced. I'll get it back from my local guy today and see if it's fixed. I was also having a small leak in the system somewhere. Could not see drips, but you could smell gasoline. Fingers are crossed here.

Did you ever find a solution? I'm having the same issue now...

Of course it happened the day I left on a road trip too, and still am not home from it.

I've been able to fill up just fine (very slowly though)

Haven't been home and won't be home for about another month, so I'm just hoping it doesn't get any worse.

I replaced the purge valve and DMTL pump and that worked for me. I still get a CEL that pops up for EVAP, so I might have to replace the charcoal canister eventually but I haven't had any issues fueling since replacing those parts.

Because fuel doors are easily defeated with a $.99 screwdriver. Do you want to loose some fuel or deal with a mangled fuel door and lose some fuel?

Thanks.
Weird part for me is I have no CELs. Nothing pending either. I’ll try the purge valve and DMTL pump and go from there.
